What you walk out knowing

Not an agenda. Decisions.

Other workshops read you the OPM handbook. We don't have time for that — and neither do you. Each block ends with a specific decision you'll know how to make by the end of the night.

FERS · Pension Timing

Whether to take the FERS supplement at 57 — or wait.

MRA + 10 vs. immediate retirement, the supplement earnings test, the survivor election (and why it's irrevocable on the day you sign).

→ Walk out knowing your earliest unreduced retirement date.
TSP · Withdrawal Sequence

Whether to leave money at TSP — or roll out for flexibility.

The G Fund argument, the Mutual Fund Window, the order of withdrawals across TSP, IRA, and taxable, and how Roth fits in.

→ Walk out with a sequence, not a "we'll figure it out."
FEHB & Medicare

Whether you actually need Part B at 65 — or just FEHB.

The 5-year rule, premium-sharing math, IRMAA brackets, and what changes if your spouse has separate coverage.

→ Walk out knowing the right Medicare election for your case.
FEGLI & Social Security

Whether FEGLI is still worth it past 65 — and when to claim SS.

The post-65 cost cliff on Option B, when private term wins, plus claiming windows, WEP/GPO, and integrating with your FERS pension.

→ Walk out with a claiming age and a coverage plan.
From the workshop floor

"We had two months until retirement and no idea whether to take the supplement or wait. Two hours later we knew the answer — and the math behind it. My wife came too, and we both walked out lighter."

Frequently Asked

Quick clarifications.

Is this affiliated with OPM or my agency?

No. This is independent fiduciary education — not limited by handbook scripts and not endorsed by any federal agency.

Will I be sold financial products?

No products are offered or sold during the workshop. Period. If you want a one-on-one conversation afterward, that's your call.

Can I bring my spouse?

Please do — we encourage it. Survivor elections, FEHB, and SS claiming are joint decisions, not solo ones.

I'm a 6c special-category employee (LEO, FF, ATC). Will the math apply to me?

Yes — we'll cover where 6c rules diverge from standard FERS, including the mandatory retirement age and the supplement difference.

Two hours. Five systems. One retirement.

Limited seating. The math works the same whether you attend or not — but it's a lot easier to read once someone has done it for you.
